Gini Wijnaldum interviewed by junior member
We took Mighty Red Member Joshua down to Melwood to meet LFC’s Number 5 Gini Wijnaldum, after he won the opportunity through a competition on the Members’ Area. A Teen Member designed the front of the official matchday programme.
Programme cover competition

Back in November we asked LFC Official Members to send in their designs to win the chance to feature on the programme cover for Liverpool FC v Manchester City FC in January 2018.
We received some fantastic entries during the course of the competition and one lucky winner was picked from all of the designs in December. Our winner, Ben, got to see his programme cover printed on the LFC programme on 14th January when Manchester City FC visited Anfield, and as part of his prize he got to witness the action on the pitch first hand as the Reds went on to end City’s unbeaten run with a 4-3 win.
But that’s not all, Ben also visited Melwood recently, and he received a copy of his programme cover design, signed by members of the LFC First Team, and it was presented to him by Danny Ings.
Christmas Party
On 17th December, 125 lucky young fans along with their parents or guardians, were invited to an extra special Christmas Party at Anfield.
Organised by LFC Official Membership and the Liverpool FC Foundation, the fantastic festive event was certainly an afternoon to remember for junior fans.
Official Members and guests of the LFC Foundation were welcomed in to the party by the DJ and LFC Team, before having the chance to have their faces painted and watch our balloon modeller in action.
Delicious food was served up, cooked by LFC Chefs for everyone to enjoy ahead of an afternoon of fun and party games and the chance to dance along to festive tunes and current hits.
The surprises continued in to the afternoon with a visit from the Club’s official mascot Mighty Red and the opportunity for photos with the European Cup, before all of the children received a present.
The festive afternoon came to a close as the children said goodbye to Mighty Red and took the chance to get photos with the mascot.
Vlogging experiences
On Saturday 10th March we invited selected Teen Members down to Anfield to audition to win Vlogging experiences with LFC. Each Vlogger visited different parts of the Stadium to produce their vlogging entry. As part of the day each Vlogger received access to the Away Match Screening on the same day. From the auditions a winner was chosen, keep a look out for Ed's Vlogs in the Members' Area!
