Dream day at melwood
During January, LFC Official Membership ran a competition to win a dream day at Melwood, and on 22nd February, our 3 winners’ dreams came true!
They started their day at Anfield with a Stadium Tour taking a look behind the scenes on the all new interactive Tour. They then headed over to the Boot Rooms Sports Café where they enjoyed lunch with LFC Legend Gary McAllister and heard stories about his time at the Club.
It was then time to board the executive coach to Melwood, here the three lucky Members and their guests got the opportunity to take part in a signing session with members of the First Team before watching them be put through their paces by manager Jürgen Klopp at training.
trip to FC Porto v LFC
Another recent competition saw one of our LFC Official Members win an all-expenses paid trip to watch the FC Porto v LFC game. The prize included the winner and a guest to fly out to Porto, including transfers, hotel accommodation, spending money plus 2 tickets to watch the game. LFC Official Member Ian won the magnificent prize and even the torrential rain couldn't dampen his spirits.
Perfect Red Weekend
Back in October, LFC Official Membership offered the chance for Members and Season Ticket Holders to enter a prize draw to win the ‘Perfect Red Weekend’ in partnership with the Club’s official partner, MBNA. As well as hospitality tickets to watch a game at Anfield, the winner would receive travel to Liverpool, accommodation in a city centre hotel and much more. We received thousands of entries and one winner was chosen and notified in early November.
Frode Førland was the lucky winner and he and his wife Iren were flown over from Norway to watch the West Bromwich Albion game on December 13th.
Frode described the matchday experience as the “ultimate dream” and told us how he and his wife felt like they were “royalty for that full evening.” They sampled five courses of delicious dining in the Legends Lounge before the game, took part in a meet and greet with two LFC Legends, Paul Walsh and Robbie Fowler and they received a gift bag, programme and drinks. This was all before getting to watch the match! They then went on to take their premium padded seats pitch side to watch the action from a prime position.
Just when they thought the evening couldn’t get any better, after the game they had the honour of greeting the 'Man of the Match,' Trent Alexander-Arnold with a bottle of champagne, and in return received a signed shirt by the talented young defender.
It wasn’t just the match day that made this the Perfect Red Weekend for Frode, they had time to experience the sights of Liverpool City Centre. When asked about his time in the City, Frode commented it is “such an interesting city, so much to take in. We are very grateful and feel blessed.”
They also got to stay in a city centre hotel, take part in a Stadium Tour of Anfield and to enjoy a three course meal at The Boot Room Sports Cafe before going shopping in the Anfield Retail store with a £100 gift voucher.
Frode told us that this was a trip that far exceeded his expectations.
“This was a once in a lifetime experience! It felt like a really good dream that nobody ever wants to wake from. I’m really glad I entered the competition and it is totally worth a lifetime Membership in the best football club the world has known! We truly never walk alone.”
