LFC Ladies Target Derby Double
The Reds earned the early-season bragging rights when they saw off Andy Spence's side 2-0 at the Select Security Stadium, Widnes thanks to second-half goals from attackers Natasha Harding and Niamh Charles.

Teenager Charles' goal in the corresponding fixture was her first senior goal for the Reds as she came off the bench to seal the victory. She recalls: “I'd waited a whole long time for it and I probably should have scored another one in that game too, but the main thing is that it went in and the result is the most important thing. If you could have written it, that's how you'd have done it - that you'd come on and score in a derby game.”
The Liverpool Ladies FC line-up is set to include ex-Everton defender Alex Greenwood while the Blues' side could include ex-Reds forwards Claudia Walker and Mollie Green.

Liverpool Ladies FC manager Scott Rogers' side started April with a 4-0 win at Yeovil Town which consolidated fifth place in the FA Women's Super League 1. The Blues meanwhile, have found life back in the top-flight tough going and were in the bottom three at the start of the month.
Liverpool Ladies FC's leading scorer Bethany England, who netted her 12th of the season in that victory at Yeovil Town, wants the Reds to finish the season on a high. On the back of the Merseyside derby they finish their campaign with a trip to Reading FC Women on 12th May and a home game against Chelsea Ladies on 20th May. “We want to finish the season as high as we possibly can in the FA WSL,” she said. “We have been working hard as a group and we will be doing everything that we can to end the season with some good results ahead of the summer.”
