AFC Bournemouth

Callum Wilson

Ahead of their fifth season as a Premier League club AFC Bournemouth have brought in England Under-21 international defender Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City FC and 23-year-old right-back Jack Stacey from Luton Town FC, but their key signing may well prove to be a player who was already at the Vitality Stadium.

After much speculation linking him with moves to other clubs, England striker Callum Wilson has signed a new contract with the Cherries until 2023 because the 27-year-old believes AFC Bournemouth is a club that is continuing to grow.

“Bournemouth is known as a smaller club, but with bigger ambitions,” he said. “There's a new training ground in place, eventually there will be a new stadium and I think at some point it won't be classed as a small club any more.

“It will grow to a point where people are respecting us a bit more in terms of not being such a small club and being an established Premier League team.”
