Graham Potter

After narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League last season, finishing just two points above the drop zone, Brighton & Hove Albion FC parted company with boss Chris Hughton and appointed Swansea City FC manager Graham Potter as his replacement.

“I was sold by the long-term vision and passion shown by [chairman] Tony Bloom, [chief executive] Paul Barber and [technical director] Dan Ashworth,” said Potter. “The ideas and plans they have for the future of this football club excited me. I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of it.”

Keeping the Seagulls in the top-flight after last year's flirtation with relegation is Potter's number one task and a couple of new players have arrived at the Amex Stadium, central defender Matt Clarke (from Portsmouth FC) and Belgian winger Leandro Tossard.

Tossard, 24, starred for KRC Genk last season, netting 14 goals and producing seven assists as they won the Jupiler Pro League title for only the fourth time in their history, and also caught the eye with eight goals in the UEFA Europa League.
