Premier League Preview
Burnley FC

Former Liverpool FC striker Peter Crouch and Scouse forward Jon Walters both announced their retirements this summer leaving Sean Dyche short of options up front so it was no surprise to see Jay Rodriguez return to Turf Moor.
The Burney-born forward, a product of the Clarets' youth system, was sold to Southampton FC for a club-record fee in 2012 having scored 41 goals for the Club. After two years with West Bromwich Albion FC Rodriguez has returned to East Lancashire where he has been joined by Dutch left-back Erik Pieters, previously with Stoke City FC.
“It’s been a relatively quiet summer across the board in terms of the big deals, and we’ve been spinning plates in the background, so we are delighted to get two in so early,” said manager Sean Dyche.
“Jay brings us something different, as does Erik. They are two different players, but with good experience and know their way around the Premier League.”
