The Hammers have had a huge summer clear-out with over a dozen players leaving the London Stadium, the most high-profile being strikers Marko Arnautović, Andy Carroll and Lucas Pérez plus goalkeeper Adrian and winger Samir Nasri.
Inevitably that meant new players would come in with Manuel Pellegrini breaking the club's transfer record to sign French striker Sebastien Haller, who netted 33 goals in the previous two seasons for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Other arrivals at West Ham United FC include Spanish Under-21 international attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals from Villarreal CF, Spanish goalkeeper Roberto from RCD Espanyol, and ex-Liverpool FC goalkeeper David Martin who had been with Millwall FC and will now work with former Reds goalkeeper coach Xavi Valero.
“It’s normal in this part of the season that some players must leave the club and others will arrive,” said Pellegrini. “We are trying to bring in good players and I am sure we are going to improve our squad.”
