Junior Christmas Party

Organised by LFC Official Membership and Liverpool FC Foundation, this fantastic festive event was an afternoon to remember for 75 junior members and children from the LFC Foundation charities.

As well as a visit from Santa himself – with a Christmas gift for each child – club mascot Mighty Red also made a special appearance to join in the fun. So did first-team stars Jordan Henderson and Simon Mignolet, to the delight of youngsters. The duo helped with the raffle giving away fab prizes like match-tickets, a signed football and a signed shirt, while one lucky young fan also won the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a mascot for a game at Anfield.

Live Your Dream

In a once-in-a-lifetime competition five lucky Members plus guests got to go to Melwood and watch the Reds first team train.

The day also included a signing session with the senior squad, a tour of Anfield and lunch in the Boot Room Sports Cafe with LFC legend and four-time European Cup-winner Phil Neal including a fascinating Q&A.

Be The Player

Another sensational Members-only competition saw 20 teenagers spend a day in the life of a Liverpool FC Academy player.

This exclusive prize included a look around the facilities used by LFC’s stars of the future before watching them first-hand in training. The lucky winners then met the dietician who works daily with Academy players, for a real insight into the ideal foods to eat as a professional footballer, and also took part in media-training with Steve Hothersall from Radio City and LFCTV, learning what and what not to say if they make it big in football!

After a healthy lunch it was time to talk football with U18s players then get on the pitch to train with LFC International Academy coaches. The day ended with executive travel back to Anfield where they chatted with youth coach Mike Yates, toured the stadium and experienced The Liverpool FC Story and its Steven Gerrard Collection!
