1892 BOYS IN BLUE!
Liverpool FC run out for their first-ever game wearing blue-and-white halved shirts, long blue shorts and blue socks – an almost carbon-copy of the strip worn by their Mersey rivals and former Anfield tenants Everton FC a couple of years previously.

1896 RED DAWN
The club switches its shirt colour to the now famous red and from this moment a new identity is forged. The original red strip includes white shorts and red socks and features a pocket on the shirt and buttons that could be fastened from the middle of the chest upwards.
