Birthday Boys

Loads of Liverpool FC players have been born in October including four members of Jürgen Klopp's First-Team squad.

Roberto Firmino likes turning defenders but he turned 26 years old on 2nd October while the oldest member of the LFC squad, Ragnar Klavan, will be 32 on 30th October, meaning he was born way back in the 1980s!

Two Reds' teenagers also have October birthdays. Trent Alexander-Arnold was 19 on 7th October – although his name is so long it wouldn't have fitted on a birthday cake! – and LFC's youngest ever goalscorer, Ben Woodburn, celebrated his 18th birthday on 15th October making him old enough to vote in an election and open a bank account in his own name!

There are plenty of Liverpool FC Legends with October birthdays too. Our greatest ever goalscorer Ian Rush, who netted 346 goals for the Redmen, was born on 20th October 1961 and goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar, who has kept the second-most clean sheets for LFC, had a milestone birthday on 6th October when he turned 60.

Other men to have graced the Anfield pitch who celebrate birthdays in October include 1965 FA Cup winners Willie Stevenson (78 on 26th October) and Chris Lawler (74 on 20th October), 1981 European Cup winner David Johnson (66 on 23rd October), 2001 treble-winning goalie Sander Westerveld (43 on 23rd October) and 2005 Champions League winning forward Milan Baros (36 on 28th October). Do you share a birthday with any of them?
